In 2022 QTV delivered coverage of over 250 events using its six outside broadcasts vehicles and talented broadcast engineering team.

QTV’s OB infrastructure is designed by ES Broadcast and underpinned by Ross, TSL and RTS technology, Grass Valley LDX 86n 4K cameras, and Simply Live Vibox replay systems to produce the highest quality coverage of live sport and events.

QTV also produces outside broadcasts around the world for a wide range of international rights-holders, working with facilities partners in Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

In a first for live TV news, QTV, working with the University of Strathclyde and its spin-out company, Neutral Wireless Ltd, QTV deployed a 5G private network to connect cameras used in the international broadcast coverage from Edinburgh Airport during Queen Elizabeth II’s final departure from Scotland. The outside broadcast was also supported by Open Broadcast Systems and Zixi.
